International development actors are making a mad dash to incorporate climate change issues into their programming. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to fund or justify any development intervention in the Global South that does not in some way include climate-responsive action, be it mitigation or adaptation.
A case study that was included as an example in The Nature Conservancy’s report on accelerating adaptation (available here: https://www.nature.org/content/dam/tnc/nature/en/documents/TNC12524_NbS-Adaptation_Report_Nsmall.pdf). This case in Uganda makes the direct link between nature-based solutions and drinking water security in the face of climate change.
